Monodie MD111
The wire drawing die blank product from the Mono synthetic single crystal diamond range
Monodie MD111 from Element Six offers the highest level of quality consistency in wire drawing die blanks. Each diamond blank is produced using a tightly controlled single crystal synthesis process and must then pass high standards of quality control. End users of Monodie MD111 blanks benefit above all from the exceptional wear resistance offered by thisproduct which results from the {111} diamond crystal orientation.

Monodie MD111 blanks are categorised by their thickness in millimetres (see table). The other major product dimension is defined by its inscribed circle diameter. Blanks are supplied with one lapped face, and die piercing can be carried out by laser or ultrasonic machining techniques.
In wire drawing applications, Monodie MD111 die blanks can be used for drawing ferrous, non-ferrous, precious and refractory metals. The blanks also possess excellent thermal conductivity and, in a non-oxidising environment, are thermally stable at temperatures up to 1100oC.
